We will definitely be back to Bear Creek Cabins!

We just wanted to say thank you so much for a wonderful stay.  On our second
evening while at the cabin, my wife Sherri asked if we could come back
again.  My answer was "definitely".  Pictures just don't show the beauty of
this cabin and the mountain it sets on.  We will be back and we have already
had many of our friends ask about the cabin.  We highly recommend Bear Creek Cabins. Thanks again.

Bear Creek Cabins is perfectly located for all kinds of adventures.

My wife and I stayed in the Evergreen Cabin.  It was a surprise birthday get-away from her to me.  I am from the Waynesville area and miss my mountains terribly so I was really looking forward to the weekend.  It is far enough out of town to give you the mountain feel but close enough to drive to very good restaurants and attractions within a half hour. The cabin is awesome, just what I was expecting.  The loft bedroom was nice and the bed very comfortable. We loved the authentic cabin feel with the log/chinking construction.  The hot tub was a welcome amenity and we were in it several times.  The cabin feels secluded even though it's not far from the road and the landscaping was pretty.

I grew up in the area so here are my suggestions for things to see/places to go:
~ Cataloochie Valley.  You can spend all day here hiking and seeing elk, bear and old original homesites from the late 1800's.
~Biltmore House in Asheville.  If you've never been it's a must.
~It's a beautiful drive into Hot Springs and the food at the Smoky Mtn Diner was really good.
~Max Patch is a great place to see.  Beautiful hike.
~Downtown Waynesville has really good shopping and is very quaint. There are often festivals there. Clyde's in Waynesville is the best for home cooking.  It's where the locals go.
~The trout fishing is awesome in Cherokee.  I've fished there since I was a boy.

Thanks for a wonderful stay!  We will be back.

The Ultimate Mountain Log Cabin.

"My wife and I stayed at Bear Creek a while back and truly loved the experience. There are two awesome cabins on the property. The property sits in a "cove" surrounded by mountains and creeks. It is the perfect place to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. The cabin comes complete with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Local attractions include Max Patch mountain, which is a stop along the Appalacian Trail. It is about a 20 minute drive or so. You are 30 minutes from the town of Hot Springs and same distance into the town of Waynesville or Maggie Valley. Asheville is less than an hour away. This is a great place to stay if you want to sit back and listen to the creek and watch the tall trees swaying in the wind. If you are lucky you'll hear the cows from a neighboring farm or see a deer along the creek. We love this place."

A Beautiful Surprise!

"Pictures don't do it justice. This was such a nice place. What a beautiful surprise. At first we were concerned with not being able to connect to the internet then we relaxed and embraced the way we used to vacation disconnected and able to truly decompress. I may always look for scenarios where I escape the electronic leashes in the future. Direct tv provided was enough to keep us from feeling completely isolated. Also neighbors just up the road were very friendly. Hot Springs is a great little town 19 miles up the road that is a drive not to be missed. Visitor center is well worth a visit open Thursday through the weekend. Public Library has free wifi as does the Spring Creek Tavern and "they" have great beer selections! Great restaurants in Waynesville also the better grocery stores. This is just a great spot that may just have spoiled us to the point nothing else will quite measure up."

Couldn't Ask for a Better Cabin.

"My wife and I stayed in the Creekside cabin over the weekend and it was amazing. Tucked away in a place all to ourselves. Cabin was stocked with all amenities except with the food you will eat. It was nice being "off the grid" with no cell or internet service. Although if you need to call out you can go a few miles from cabin to get service. Very easy to find. Owner was awesome to deal with. Would definitely be a repeat customer. Couldn't ask for a better cabin."

I Recommend This Home to Everyone!

"The pictures do not due this place justice - it is better in person and that is rarely seen - so clean - decorated so cute - very private - very comfortable - hot tub overlooking creek - awesome mountain views surround the property and the owner is the nicest, most honest person. I recommend this "home" to everyone!!! The owner provides everything - fire wood - linens - towels - it's like being at home - truly. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!"

Perfect Mountain getaway!

"We booked our cabin with extremely last minute notice and owner was very helpful and accommodating. We arrived later in the evening and had to rely on the directions provided which led us straight to the property. The two cabins do share the same driveway, but this wasn't a problem for us. Inside the cabin was very clean, plenty of linens with fresh soap and shampoo. There were rocking chairs on the back porch overlooking the creek that were perfect for relaxing in the mornings while we drank our coffee. We spent the days travelling around Asheville, the Blue Ridge, and Hot Springs all of which were a fairly easy 30-45 minute drive from the cabins. Overall it was a fantastic little getaway and we plan to come back!"

Peaceful, Romantic, and Clean.

"I will go back as often as possible! I love the hot tubs, the decor is amazing and small cabin has brand new custom beautiful tiled shower.. It is clean, quiet, extraordinary scenery and secluded but could still get to Asheville or Hot Springs in 20-30 minutes. I found it to be more luxuriuous than other cabins...nice linens, no mold or weird smells, NICE property, NICE owner!"

Best Vacation Ever.

"Wish we could stay there permanently. The place was absolutely great. One of the best vacations ever. We will remember it always. The cabin was 1st class and the hiking and views are the best yet. Everything we needed was provided and we didn't have to pack anything except our clothes. We will definitely put this on our list of places to come back to every year."

Most Peaceful Place.

"We love Bear Creek cabins. One of the most peaceful places we've visited. My husband and I are well traveled and choose to visit Bear Creek cabins at least twice a year.I have brought several friends there as well and this place never disappoints. The owner is a wonderful person, friendly and helpful. The cabins are clean and well equipped. We spent a couple of days just hanging out at the cabin enjoying the atmosphere it provides...love building a fire in the fireplace and outside under the stars. The front porch is so inviting and so is the hot tub. I recommend this getaway to anyone who is in search of peace and tranquility. I can't wait to return!!!"
